2022年5月25日〜2022年8月24日にかけて行われたKaggleコンペティション『Feedback Prize – Predicting Effective Arguments』にてRist所属のKaggle Grandmaster Chenの参加するチームが金メダルを獲得いたしました。
本コンペティションはアメリカの小学校6年生から高校3年生までが書いたエッセイを”Effective（効果的）”、”Adequate（適切）”、”Ineffective（効果的ではない）”のどの評価であるかを予測するモデルの精度を競うものでした。
Chenは前回の『Feedback Prize – Evaluating Student Writing』でもソロで金メダルを獲得しており、前回のコンペティションに続き、今回も金メダルを獲得することができました。

Thanks to my excellent teammates, I was able to win a gold medal in this competition.
Experience on Feedback 1.0 could help you start easier in Feedback 2.0. But I don’t think it’s necessary.
The task of this competition was straightforward, so the final solution was not much different from my first day plan.
I don’t have much experience in NLP tasks and some hyperparameters had more impact than I expected, it took a lot of time and I learned a lot.
Looking forward to the Feedback 3.0 competition.
